DXF to STL converter
Turn a 2D DXF into a 3D-printable STL. Drop a laser-cut or CNC part, a gasket, a plate or a logo: closed outlines become solid with their holes cut out, at the exact size in the drawing. Set the thickness, see it in 3D, and download an STL or 3MF.

A PNG or JPG? Use the image to STL converter: it traces the picture first.
Two colours: download 2-colour 3MF and give the top its own filament in Bambu Studio, Orca or PrusaSlicer. With one nozzle, add a filament change (pause) at 2 mm, the top of the base.
How to convert a DXF to STL
Drop the DXF in the box above. It is shown in 3D at the size in the file.
Set the thickness in mm: how thick the part prints.
Check the layers. Untick dimension, text or border layers under the 3D view.
Download the STL or 3MF and slice it. It lies flat on the bed, ready to print.
Good uses
- Test-fit a laser or CNC part in plastic before cutting metal or wood.
- Gaskets, shims and spacers: print the DXF 1–2 mm thick in TPU or PETG.
- Plates and brackets drawn for a laser, printed 3–5 mm thick instead.
- Logos and signs: raised on a base, two colours with the 2-colour 3MF.
Want to check or edit the drawing first? The DXF viewer shows its layers and size, and FlatCad edits it. Have an SVG? SVG to STL. For full 3D parts with holes, fillets and more, use FlatCad 3D.

Questions
Does it keep the size of my drawing?
Yes. Size starts at As drawn, using the units saved in the DXF ($INSUNITS). If the file has no units it is read as millimetres; change DXF units if the part comes out 25.4 times too small or too big.
Which DXF entities work?
Lines, polylines and lightweight polylines (with bulges), arcs, circles, ellipses, splines and blocks. Lines that meet end to end are joined into closed outlines. Text and dimensions are left out.
My part comes out as thin walls, not solid.
Its outline isn't closed: two ends don't quite meet. Close the gap in your CAD program, or open the DXF in FlatCad and join it. Open lines print as walls of the Line width you set.
How do I leave out dimensions or a border?
Put them on their own layer: every layer gets a checkbox under the 3D view, so untick the ones you don't want printed.
Can I make it a sign or keychain?
Choose a base (an outline around it or a rounded plate) and the drawing is raised on it; tick Hanging hole for a keychain or tag.
Can I convert a DWG?
Not directly: DWG is AutoCAD's closed format. Save it as DXF from AutoCAD, DraftSight or LibreCAD (or the free ODA File Converter), then drop the DXF here.
Is my file uploaded?
No. The DXF is read and the STL is made in your browser.
